Wallabies star forward David Pocock has finally married his long‑time partner, Emma Palandri on Sunday after the legislation of same sex marriage was passed in Australia.
The pair wed unofficially in 2010, but Pocock said he would not sign the official paperwork until same‑sex marriage was legalised in Australia.
30‑year‑old Pocock posted three photos to Twitter of the ceremony, which saw the pair holding hands under a tree in the bush, while a celebrant completed the ceremony.

Pocock says that with the matter of same‑sex marriage done, he thinks that people should be grateful to the activists and it would be best for the society, going forward.
He adds that there is also a lot of challenges ahead.
