Marika Koroibete scored a try and produced a man of the match performance as the Wallabies survived a massive second half scare to beat Samoa 34‑15 in Sydney in their final build up match heading into the Rugby World Cup.
Australia looked to be cruising at halftime with a 22-3 lead before an error ridden second half brought Samoa back into the match.

Samoa’s half-back Dwayne Polataivao scored two second half tries to bring the visitors within seven points with less than 20 minutes to play.
Dane Haylett‑Petty and Matt To’omua’s late tries saved Australia’s blushes and prevented what would have been a demoralizing defeat a fortnight out from their World Cup opener against Fiji.
