Wallabies have to hunt in packs and that’s their best chance at limiting Fiji’s opportunities - Matt To'omua

Wallabies utility Matt To'omua says Australia are planning to dampen the threat of the former Parramatta Eel danger man, Semi Radradra and most of the Fijian team by hunting in packs of threes.

Radradra was one of the headline names included in a rocket‑fuelled Fijian backline to take on the Wallabies in the Rugby World Cup opener.

Despite being primarily a centre in French rugby, Radradra was named on the wing, the spot where he played a Test for Australia in rugby league in 2016.

Elsewhere in the Fijian backline, Rio gold medallist Josua Tuisova is on the wing, one of three Olympic sevens champs picked by Coach John McKee, along with Leone Nakarawa and Viliame Mata.

Reece Hodge is the man with the task of marking Radradra, and To'omua joked they would be flicking some YouTube homework to the Wallabies wing to make sure he was ready for the challenge.

To’omua says they will be sending Hodge, Radradra’s highlights from the Eels days and letting him know that he has his hands full.

He says the Wallabies would work hard to not get isolated in defence.

To’omua says they have to hunt in packs and that’s their best chance at limiting Fiji’s opportunities.

He says one‑on‑one with the Fijians might be a struggle and they will have to make sure the Wallabies are working together in packs of threes as the Fijians can offload despite when they are in tricky situations.

Australia takes on Fiji at 4.45pm tomorrow at the Sapporo Dome.
