Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has revealed he has been targeted with hate mail from supporters who have somehow obtained his phone number in the wake of last weekend's Bledisloe Cup Rugby Championship embarrassment.
Cheika admitted fans had every right to be disappointed, but he says anger was the wrong emotion to channel towards the team.
Cheika says he has heard a lot of anger and stuff around from people who might be bitter about it and is not sure why someone would be angry, because it is their national team but understands people would be disappointed 100 per cent.
He says he certainly has had some of his own hate mail to deal with and is not sure they got his email address or phone number.
The Wallabies will play the All Blacks in the second Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship match tomorrow at 7.35pm.
