The Cronulla Sharks are prepared to offer St George Illawarra star Josh Dugan close to $1 million AUD a season.

Dragons coach Paul McGregor believe his best position is fullback but St George Illawarra have reportedly tabled him an offer to play centre, a role which typically would pay less.

Dugan is currently sidelined with a broken cheekbone.

The Sharks will take on the Dragons at 8pm tonight while the West Tigers take on the Rabbitohs at 9.50pm.
