Former Suva Grammar School student Manoa Vosawai may play for the Italian side that will face the Vodafone Flying Fijians at the ANZ Stadium next month.
This comes after the 30-year-old was named in the 30 member Italian squad that will tour Fiji and Samoa next month.
Vosawai has made 14 appearances for the Azzuri after making his debut in 2007.
Vosawai scored his first test try against Fiji last year in a game where the Flying Fijians set a new world record after five players were sin binned.
Fiji copped four yellow cards in the first half to Akapusi Qera, Asaeli Tikoirotuma, Sakiusa Matadigo and Nemani Nadolo before Sisa Koyamaibole was sin-binned in the second half.
The Italians won that game 37-31.
Fiji will play Italy on the 7th of next month at the ANZ Stadium before playing Tonga at Churchill Park in the Pacific Nations Cup on the 14th.
They will then take on Samoa at the ANZ Stadium on the 21st of June before meeting Cook Islands a week later at Churchill Park for the World Cup qualifier.
