The Vodafone Lautoka Football side has left for Vanuatu this morning to take part in the OFC Champions League.
The team left with 16 members this morning while former New Zealand U17, Auckland City and Waitakere United goalkeeper Liam Anderson and Waitakere United defender Jack Caunter will join the team in Vanuatu.
Lautoka traveling squad to Vanuatu include Liam Anderson (GK) Jack Caunter, Zibraaz Sahib, Mohammed Shazil Ali, Poasa Bainivalu, Dave Radrigai, Edward Aaron, Edward Justin, Navneel Nand, Alex Saniel, Muni Shivam Naidu, Shameel Rao, Sekove Finau, Merrill Nand, Arami Manumanubai, Jason Thomas, Joela Biuvanua (GK), Tevita Rabakewa.
Meanwhile, Ba soccer President, Rishi Kumar says the team is still waiting for their travel documents so that they can leave for New Zealand to prepare for the OFC Champions League.
Ba will be coached by the former New Zealand Football Coach, Ricki Herbert for the OFC Champions League.
Lautoka plays their first OFC match against Vanuatu team, Malampa Revivors on their home ground this Saturday at 4pm while Ba will take on Auckland City on the 3rd of next month in Tahiti.
Lautoka is also pooled with Lae City Dwellers and Henderson Eels in Group B while Ba in Group D is pooled with Auckland City, AS Venus, Lupe o le Soaga.
