As the Vodafone Flying Fijians prepares for the 2015 Rugby World Cup Oceania qualifier against the Cook Islands, former Flying Fijians fly-half Nicky Little has shared his story as he looked back at the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.
Little is the most capped Fijian player with 71 tests for Fiji after appearing in four Rugby World Cup tournaments and his tally of 125 points puts him eighth on the RWC competition’s all‑time list.
Little said he always got negative comments whenever he represented Fiji.
Meanwhile students and teachers of Ratu Navula College in Nadi had the privilege to welcome the William Webb Ellis Trophy to Fiji this morning.
Former All Blacks Rugby World Cup 2011 winning prop John Afoa is accompanying the trophy where he will be contesting a lineout with the Fiji Pearls rep Maria Lutua at the center stage of the Raiwaqa Rugby Club at 1pm tomorrow.
It is expected to be in the capital city in the next hour where the Minister for Youth and Sports Commander Viliame Naupoto and IRB Sevens Player of the Year Samisoni Viriviri will receive the World Cup at the Vodafone Arena.
Tomorrow, the trophy will be at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School, Suva Primary School, the Land Rover outlet at Stewart Street and Waimanu road Suva, the Raiwaqa Rugby Club, Qauia Rugby Club and the British High Commission in Suva.
