The Vanuatu soccer team has been challenged to beat the Vodafone Fiji soccer team in their final group match at the Oceania Nations Cup in Port Moresby tomorrow.
Vanuatu lost 1‑0 in their Group B opener against Solomon Islands and then were thumped 5‑0 by tournament favourites New Zealand on Tuesday.
Team manager Harry Attison said a clear message has been delivered to the players ahead of tomorrow's match against Fiji.
He said tomorrow will be a big game for both sides.
Vanuatu is fourth in Group B with zero points from two games and need to finish in the top three to advance to the next stage of World Cup qualifying.
Fiji will meet Vanuatu at 6pm tomorrow to determine their place in the semifinals of the OFC Nations Cup.
