Weightlifter Apolonia Vaivai won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Championships last night in Malaysia.
She lifted 93Kg in the snatch and 115kg in the Clean & Jerk for a total of 208kg in the Women's 75kg weight category.
This is the second year in a row that Apolonia has been the Commonwealth Champion.
Eileen Cikamatana won three Silver medals in the Commonwealth Championships in the Women's 69kg weight category.
She won the silver in Youth, Junior and Open categories to back her gold and bronze medal performances at the World Youth Championships.
Fiji won a total of 2 gold 3 silver and 4 bronze medals over the past week, in what is the best ever performances by Weightlifting at any International competitions, in its 55 year history.
The team returns early tomorrow morning.
