The Fiji under 20 rugby side has lost their opening match in the IRB Junior World Championship in Wales.
They went down 17-41 to England. Fiji trailed 41-0 at the break but put up a strong performance in the second spell and managed to score 17 points.
Peni Rokodiva Junior, Waqabaca Kotobalavu and William Saukuru scored tries for Fiji but it was not enough as England scored six tries in the first spell to win the match.
Fiji's second match will be against Australia next Tuesday.
Meanwhile in other played this morning, Australia's Fijian import Ratu Nasiganayavi scored two tries to help his side beat Canada 81 points to 12 in their opening match.
New Zealand also won their opening match beating Tonga by 48 points to 9. South Africa thrashed USA by 108 points to 18. France beat Japan by 53-17, Argentina won over Ireland by 17-9, Samoa registered their opening win over Scotland by 29-17 and Wales defeated Italy by 29 points to 10.
