USA currently leads the overall medal tally of Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships with 14 gold, 10 silver and 3 bronze followed by Australia with 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze while China and Canada sit in third place with a gold medal each.
At the end of the preliminaries, Lani Pallister of Australia is the favorite in the Women’s 400m Freestyle as she qualified to the final with a time of 4 minutes 12.69 seconds while Ross Dant of USA is the favorite in the Men’s 400m Freestyle as he booked his place in the finals with a time of 3 minutes 54.87 seconds.
The Women’s 100m Butterfly saw Maggie Macniel of Canada qualify in to the finals with the fastest time of 58.44 seconds while in the Men’s 100m Butterfly, Gianluca Urlando of USA qualified to the finals with a time of 52.48.
Isabel Stadden of USA qualified to the finals of the Women’s 200m Backstroke with a time of 2 minutes 08.24 seconds while Peter Larson qualified with a time of 1 minute 59.35 seconds in the Men’s 200m Backstroke finals.
The finals are expected to start at 5pm today at the Damodar Aquatic Center.
