The main track of the new ANZ stadium has been laid.
Fijivillage visited the stadium this morning and saw firsthand the new maroon coloured track.
Fiji Sports Council Chairman Peter Mazey also confirmed that they laid the track last night.
Mazey said that a team from Asia is currently marking the track which is expected to take five days.
He said that after the marking is completed a team from New Zealand will certify the track for international standard.
According to Mazey on Monday they will be laying the four lane training track.
The cost of the tracks is FJ$4 million.
Meanwhile, organizers of the Coca Cola Games have confirmed that the Coke games will not be held at the end of next month at the new ANZ stadium.
Chief Organiser, Vuli Waqa said the Fiji Sports Council has recommended that the Fiji Finals be shifted to mid May.
