The Topline Warriors have won the inaugural Veilomani Shield after a tough tussle with neighborhood rivals Nabua Broncos coming out on top 24-12 during the FNRL Vodafone Cup Competition.
Topline Warriors Manager, Frank Koroi says that the Veilomani Shield was just something that the two teams came up with to bond the teams from the same neighborhood.
Koroi says that there was an incident that created differences amongst the two neighborhoods and they had tried to solve it by making this a friendly match.
Koroi says that this was a good initiative from the two teams.
Topline Warriors have walked away with the Veilomani Shield and $400 prize money.
Koroi has also confirmed that the Veilomani Shield will be an annual event.
