Tonga 7s team to mark first appearance on global circuit in 5 years at Hamilton Sevens

The Tonga Men's sevens team is building strength in numbers in the lead up to their HSBC World Sevens Series return.

They will compete at the New Zealand Sevens in Hamilton this weekend, marking their first appearance on the global circuit in 5 years.

Tonga finished fifth at the 2018 Oceania Sevens to qualify for World Series tournaments in Sydney and Hamilton 7s.

Tonga face a daunting start to their Hamilton Sevens campaign on Saturday against World Series leaders the United States before rounding off pool play against England and Pacific rivals Samoa.
