Johnathan Thurston has sent a scare through the Queensland camp after going down twice at training at their Gold Coast State of Origin base yesterday.
But Thurston bounced back from the incident and finished the session.
Maroons back‑rower and North Queensland teammate Gavin Cooper could be seen consoling Thurston after he went down the first time with a knee clash in a tackle.
Thurston, who will retire from representative football after the 2017 World Cup, begins his Origin swansong in game two after missing Queensland's record 28‑4 series‑opening loss with the shoulder complaint.
The Queensland Maroons will take on the NSW Blues at 10pm Wednesday.
