The Springboks have unveiled their 2019 Rugby World Cup Jersey which was designed and manufactured by popular apparel and footwear brand “ASICS”.
The new Springbok jersey was designed with unique characteristics and features to compliment the playing style and technical requirements of the Boks.
South Africa Rugby CEO Jurie Roux says that it’s a momentous year as the Springboks aim to win their third World Cup.

ASICS and the Springboks tested more than 10 versions of the jersey with 30 different fabrics at their laboratories in Japan.
Players were also interviewed about their requirements to give them the necessary advantages on the field.
The Springboks are in Pool B in the Rugby World Cup with defending World Cup Champion, New Zealand, Italy, Namibia and Canada.
