Teams book their spots in Vodafone Kaji Rugby finals

Ra will take on Cakaudrove in the Under 12 grade of the Tier One Final at the Vodafone Kaji Rugby Festival today.

Ra drew with Suva Blues 7-7 in the first semifinal and the game went into sudden death but still both teams could not get a point. The win was given to Ra for getting the first points in the match.

Cakaudrove also drew with Tailevu 7-7 in the second semifinal but the win was given to Cakaudrove for scoring first.

In the Under 12 grade Tier Two competition, Naitasiri will face Ba in the final.

Naitasiri defeated Navosa 14-0 in the first semifinal while Ba thrashed Wainibuka 19-0 in the second semifinal.

In other finals today, Kadavu will face Suva Blues in the Under 13 Tier One final while Navosa will face Nasinu in the Tier Two finals.

Ba will face Northland in the Under 14 Tier Two final while they are still waiting for the Tier One competition semifinal to be over.

Results from today’s match:

Under 13 Tier One:

Kadavu defeated Nadi 14-5 while Suva Blues defeated Ovalau 5-0.

Under 13 Tier Two:

Ba drew with Nasinu 0-0 but the win was given to Nasinu for kicking one penalty during their sudden death penalty kicks.

Nasinu defeated Macuata South 5-0.

Under 14 Tier two, Ba defeated Lakeba 12-7 while Nadarivatu lost to Northland 12-0.

The Vodafone Kaji Rugby Festival is currently underway at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
