Team Fiji has managed to grab four gold medals from Hockey, Netball and Bowling in the final day of Pacific Games.
In Netball, the Fiji Pearls successfully defended their title after winning against Papua New Guinea 68-51 in the gold medal final this afternoon.
In Hockey, the women’s and men’s hockey team both won gold.
The women’s defeated Papua New Guinea 9-4 while the men’s team defeated Vanuatu 15-1.
Fiji failed to grab any gold medal in boxing as Viliame Vitukalulu in the heavyweight division, Winston Hill in the welterweight and Sina Ruata in the light heavy weight division all settled for silver.
Vitukalulu lost by points while Hill and Ruata both lost by technical knockout.
In Beach Volleyball, the Men’s team lost to Papua New Guinea 2 sets to nil settling for silver.
In Lawn Bowls, Fiji grabbed a gold medal for men's triple and silver in men’s pair while Fiji got silver in women's singles and bronze medal in the women's fours.
Finally, in Golf Fiji managed to pocket a bronze medal in the men’s team event.
Looking at the medal tally, Papua New Guinea is still leading with 77 gold, 64 silver and 57 bronze, New Caledonia is in second place with 57 gold, 47 silver and 52 bronze, Tahiti is in third place with 35 gold, 30 silver and 36 bronze.
Team Fiji is in fourth place with 33 gold, 45 silver and 36 bronze.
