The Tavua soccer team are in real danger of being relegated to the Senior division after they were beaten 4-1 by Lautoka in their Vodafone Premier League match.
Two goals from Samuela Drudru and a goal each from Poasa Bainivalu and Dave Radrigai helped Lautoka secure the win.
The defeat sees Tavua remain last on the VPL points table with nine points and a negative 24 goal differential while Rewa are on second last place with twelve points and a negative 15 goal differential.
Tavua will now need to beat Rewa by five clear goals in their last match if they are to maintain their status as one of the Premier Division teams for next season while Rewa will just need a draw.
Meanwhile Nasinu has secured its place in the Premier Division for next season after Tavua’s defeat.
