Kiwis star Jason Taumalolo is set to sign an NRL record FJ$15.9 million deal to stay at the North Queensland Cowboys ending speculation of a future in American football.
The Courier‑Mail reported the deal will be unveiled today – a 10‑year contract worth FJ$1.59 million a season.
This is will be double the deal signed by Cowboys star Johnathan Thurston four years ago.
The 119kg 23‑year‑old is seen as a mainstay for the club and they have rewarded him accordingly.
