North Queensland Cowboys and Vodafone Fiji Bati forward Tariq Sims is set to be the answer for the Blues team with New South Wales coach Laurie Daley phoning him late last week offering a selection carrot.
The Blues will be without their two best back rowers for State of Origin Game One with Greg Bird suspended and Boyd Cordner suffering from an injury.
The injuries have open the door for Sims to debut for the Blues in Origin Game one on May 28th.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys will take on the Raiders at 5pm this Sunday.
