Taliga to replace Mocenacagi

Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has been forced to make a last minute change to the national side after Sevuloni Mocenacagi failed to recover from a virus that has been going around the team camp in Las Vegas.

Ryan twitted on his personal Twitter account that Kitione Taliga will now replace Mocenacagi.

Four players were affected earlier from the flu including Josua Vici, Vatemo Ravouvou, Aminoni Nasilasila and Mocenacagi.

Ryan said Fiji was not the only team that has been affected by the virus .

It has also affected half of the Samoan team, the Scottish and some other teams participating in the Las Vegas 7s.

Fiji will take on Samoa at 1.19pm today in their first pool match.

They will then play France at 4.20pm.

Their last pool game is against Argentina at 8.38am tomorrow.

The Cup quarter finals will start at 1.31pm tomorrow.

The semifinals kick off at 8.50am Monday while the Cup Final will kick off at 11.57am Monday.

The Las Vegas 7s has kicked off with New Zealand defeating Portugal 42-7 while Kenya beat Russia 24-21.
