With two days away to the kick-off of the 39th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s, the CK Easybuy Tabadamu Blue side looks solid to top their pool and go past the elimination rounds in day one.

Tabadamu Blues have field in star players including veteran Setefano Cakau, speedster Alipate Ratini, national rep Apisai Naqaliva, Sitiveni Waqa, Jone Vota, Leo Naikasau, Nasoni Roko, Maleli Bula, David Batiratu and Mosese Luveitasau.

Tournament organizer Koli Korovulavula said this year’s tournament will move up another notch with former national reps looking impress national coach Ben Ryan for the upcoming HSBC Hong Kong 7s.

Tabadamu is pooled with First Light from Taveuni, Wailoku Evergreen and Delasui.

Meanwhile the second batch of the eight pools and the draws will be announced today with New Caledonia and Vailima Marist from Samoa the only overseas teams participating in the tournament.

The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s kicks off at 8am Friday with the first eliminations to be held in day one.

$10,000 is up for grab for the main Cup winner.

Wardens Gold is the defending champion.
