Fiji Games defending champions Suva have retained their title after winning 60 gold, 75 silver and 53 bronze medals.
Suva dominated most sports which included Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Billiards and Snooker, Boxing, Darts, Golf, Powerlifting, Sailing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Indoor Volleyball and Weightlifting.
Meanwhile Nadi edged Rotuma on the overall Medal Tally to finish in second place with 28 gold, 22 Silver and 23 bronze while Rotuma settled for third place also with 28 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze.
Nadroga finished in fourth place with 11 Gold medals all from the sport of Boxing.
Athletes represented 24 districts over the past four days that included Korovou, Nausori, Suva, Lami, Nasinu, Vunidawa, Navua, Labasa, Savusavu, Seaqaqa, Taveuni, Saqani, Wainikoro, Lautoka, Yasawa, Ba, Tavua, Nadarivatu, Rakiraki, Nadi, Nadroga, Navosa, Levuka and Rotuma.
FASANOC Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Mar thanked the National Federations who hosted this year’s Fiji Games competitions over this weekend.
Mar adds that several sports also used the Fiji Games as a final trial for aspiring athletes hoping to represent Fiji at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa in July this year.
The Pacific Games will be held from the 7th-20th of July 2019.
