Sutton ruled out of Fiji Bati side for world cup
South Sydney Rabbitohs play maker John Sutton has been ruled out of the Vodafone Fiji Bati side for the upcoming rugby league world cup.

This has been confirmed by Fiji National Rugby league General Manager Tomi Finau.

Finau said Sutton will now be replaced by Ryan Millard who is the younger brother of Bati center Daryl Millard.

Ryan played for the Fiji Bati against the Junior Kangaroos in 2007 and he also represented Fiji in the Pacific Cup in 2009. The 26-year-old plays for West Magpies in the New South Wales Cup.

Ryan Millard’s inclusion means that four sets of brothers will feature for the Fiji Bati in the World Cup which includes Wes and Kevin Naiqama, Ashton, Tariq and Korbin Sims, Alipate and Kaliova Tani plus the Millards.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Bati side was in Serua Island today for a team bonding exercise called ‘back to our roots'.

Melbourne Storm wing Sisa Waqa said today’s programme was an eye opener for most of them.

For Queensland Cowboys player Tariq Sims, he tried his best to learn how to make a lovo today.

The 23-year-old was part of the lovo making group which included Akuila Uate, Jason Bukuya, Alipate Tani and Aaron Groom.

Tariq who is in Fiji for the first time said making a lovo was a great experience.

The fishing crew was headed by Sisa Waqa which also included Ryan Millard, Apisai Koroisau and Ashton Sims.

Marika Koroibete, Kevin Naiqama, Darryl Millard and Korbin Sims went to pull some cassava this morning.

The Rugby League World Cup kicks off on the 27th of this month with Fiji taking on Ireland in their first match on the 29th.
