The Springboks will be relying on the power, strength and height of their forward pack when they'll face Wales in the semifinals of the Rugby World Cup this Sunday.
South African coach Rasie Erasmus says during their matches against Italy and Japan in the quarterfinals, the Springboks kept the ball under the protective blanket of their forwards and also deployed their resources in a very particular way to back up their battle plan.
Eramus says they need to be very physical against Wales and their defence needs to be better than their game against Japan.
Also, many of the South African fans were disappointed when World Rugby confirmed that Jerome Garces will be the match official for that match.
Under Garces referring, South Africa have won only four games of the 14 tests matches.
The Springboks have also never beaten the Welsh when Garces is the match official, having lost their only previous encounter 24-22 in Cardiff in 2017.
Earlier in the World Cup, the Springboks and their fans were unhappy with a number of Garces' calls during their 23-13 pool defeat to New Zealand.
All Blacks will face England in the first semi-final at 8pm this Saturday while South Africa will play Wales at 9pm on Sunday.
