South Sydney Rabbitohs lose Sam Burgess to injury

A hamstring injury to Sam Burgess took the gloss off South Sydney Rabbitoh’s impressive 51‑10 victory over the Wests Tigers last night at ANZ Stadium.

The Rabbitohs' back‑line had a chance to make a statement to the other seven teams heading into the September finals ‑ and they did not disappoint.

Outside of Sam Burgess leaving the field, the match was one to savour for Rabbitohs' fans. Their backline did enough to suggest their title dreams are alive once again.

In tonight’s games the Raiders will meet the Warriors at 8pm while the Storm meet the Panthers at 9.50pm

The top eight teams in the competition will progress to the playoffs.

At the moment, the top eight teams in the competition by order are Melbourne Storm, Rabbitohs, Roosters, Sharks, Panthers, Dragons, Broncos and Warriors.
