Sonny Bill Williams missed training, but he didn't miss the birth of his first child.
The All Blacks second five‑eighth's partner Alana Raffie gave birth this morning to the couple's first child, and though Williams was not present, he followed proceedings in real time thanks to the wonders of modern technology.
Williams took to social media saying it’s the proudest moment in his life, accompanied by a picture of his daughter's toes.
Meanwhile, the All Blacks face Wales at 6.30am this Sunday.
