Sisa Waqa is set to return to the NRL after signing a training contract with the Melbourne Storm following a stint in French rugby union.

He is already training with the squad.

Waqa left the Storm at the end of the 2014 season after signing a lucrative two‑year deal with the Canberra Raiders.

He was then released by the Raiders in June 2016 to take up a deal with French rugby union club, FC Grenoble.

This will also give more options for Vodafone Fiji Bati coach Mick Potter as he assembles his best team for the Rugby League World Cup later this year.

In the NRL match this week, the Storm will take on the Rabbitohs at 4pm Sunday.
