Singh looking forward to playing on Fijian soil at Fiji International

Fiji golfer Vijay Singh will once again headline the Fiji International Golf tournament which tees off this Thursday at the Natadola Bay Golf Course.

Singh who is a three time Major Championship winner is looking forward to playing on Fijian soil.

Joining Vijay Singh in the field will be his brother Krishna Singh who has also carved a successful career competing on the pro‑am circuit in Australia.

Dinesh Chand who has won three titles on the Japan Golf Tour and two on the Japan Challenge Tour will also be competing in the Fiji International for the second year.

25‑year‑old Sam Lee will be competing in the tournament as a Professional for the first time.

The other local golfers include Anasa Seravatu, Bill Sugutaraga from Denarau and Tomasi Tuivana.

The local golfers will also get a chance to compete for the FJD$1.76million prize money.

The tournament will start on Thursday and end on Sunday.

Australian Golfer Steven Jeffress is the defending champion and will compete again this year.

The Fiji International is co‑sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia. The Fiji International has a worldwide audience across more than 30 countries reaching over 400 million homes.
