Simione Nabenu instrumental in Xavier win over Tilak

Ba soccer team player Simione Nabenu who was instrumental in Ba’s recent Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants win, scored for Xavier College as they overcame Tilak High School 1-0 in the Under 19 quarter final of the Vodafone Fiji Secondary School’s Football Association Soccer Championship.

In the other Under 19 quarter final, Bhawani Dayal Arya College defeated Bulileka Sanatan College 1-0.

Kaushik Prasad scored the winning goal for Bhawani Dayal Arya College.

Tufael Khan and Mosese Raione scored a goal each for Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School as they beat DAV College Suva 2-0 in their quarter-final match.

In the last quarter, Nadi Muslim College’s Arzal Rahiman scored the lone goal as they defeated Kamil Muslim College 1-nil.

Bhawani Dayal Arya College will face Xavier College in the first semi final while Nadi Muslim College will take on Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School in the second semi.

The semi-finals and final will be played tomorrow.

In the U15 grade final, Labasa College will face Xavier College at 10.40am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Tavua College has booked their place in the U17 grade finals to be played tomorrow and will face Labasa Muslim College at 12pm.
