History can be created in this year’s Coca Cola games if Vilisoni Rarasea of Marist Bothers High School and his twin sister Elenoa Sailosi of Adi Cakobau School win gold in the senior boys and girls 100 metres event respectively.
On Tuesday Sailosi claimed the gold in the Triple N Zone for ACS in the 100 metres with a time of 11.15seconds and yesterday his twin brother Rarasea won the blue ribbon for Marist in the Suva Zone two in a time of 10.65seconds.
Rarasea says he still has a lot to improve on before the Coca Cola games.
Meanwhile, Marist Brothers High School defended their boy’s title in the Suva Zone two athletics meet in style yesterday.
Marist finished with 27 gold, 20 silver and 13 bronze while Suva Grammar School came in second with 12 gold, 15 silver and 10 bronze and Gospel was third with 4 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze.
Saint Joseph secondary dethroned Suva Grammar school to win the girls title with 13 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze.
Suva Grammar grabbed 9 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze to settle for second place while Gospel High School came in third with 7 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze.
A total of 23 records fell at yesterday’s meet.
