The Wallabies’ front‑row stocks have received a boost on the eve of the World Cup with experienced prop Scott Sio signing a new three‑year deal to remain in Australia until the end of 2022.

Sio has been a regular for the Wallabies since making his debut against the All Blacks in 2013.

The Brumbies prop started in the World Cup final loss against the All Blacks in 2015 and said going one step further and taking out the William Webb Ellis Cup remained a goal this year.

The 27‑year‑old has played 55 Tests added that he was pleased to remain at the Brumbies, whom he has played 96 Super Rugby matches since 2012.

Meanwhile, in Super Rugby this week, the Chiefs meet the Reds at 7.35pm and the Brumbies face the Bulls at 9.45pm, Friday.

On Saturday, the Sunwolves meet the Rebels at 5.15pm, the Crusaders take on the Blues at 7.45pm while the Waratahs meet the Jaguares at 9.45pm.

On Sunday, the Stormers will take on the Highlanders at 1.05am and the Sharks meet the Lions at 3.15am.
