Saint Joseph’s Secondary School is going in as the underdog in the girls division of the Coca-Cola Games later this month.

They will go in with this tag although they stamped their mark in the girls division at the Suva Zone 2 where they won with 23 Gold, 11 Silver and 12 Bronze.

Eight out of the 10 records that were broken in the girls division at the Suva Zone 2 were all by Saint Joseph’s athletes.

These were records in the Sub Junior and Junior grades.

Saint Joseph’s Secondary School will be led by Helena Young who won gold medals in the 100 metres, 400 metres and 4 x 100 metres at the Suva Zone 2.

They finished in fourth place in the Coca-Cola Games last year with 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.

Marist Brothers High School and Jasper Williams High School are the boys and girls defending champions respectively.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from the 20th to the 22nd of this month.
