Roy Krishna honoured to be named flag bearer for Fiji at the Pacific Games

Fiji soccer star Roy Krishna says it is every athletes dream to be the flag bearer for their country.

Krishna has been selected to be Fiji’s flag bearer at the Pacific Games in Samoa next month.

He says it is an honour for him to be chosen.

Krishna says the expectation will be high for the Fiji soccer team to win their first gold medal in the Pacific Games since 2003.

He says they have a mixture of young and experienced players and Krishna adds he is hopeful that the team can do well.

The Bula Boys will battle New Caledonia, Tahiti, the Solomon Islands, American Samoa and Tuvalu in Group B.

The Pacific Games starts on the 7th of next month.
