The All Blacks are confident that first five-eight Richie Mo'unga will be fit for their first match of the Rugby World Cup against South Africa, having arrived in Japan under an injury cloud.
After picking up a shoulder injury in the second Bledisloe Cup Test against the Wallabies at Eden Park, Mo'unga played no part in the All Blacks' 92‑7 victory over Tonga in Hamilton last weekend as he was rested as a precaution.
Fronting media in Kashiwa today, Assistant coach Ian Foster says Mo'unga should be all clear to play against the Springboks in Yokohama next Saturday.
Foster says that Mo’unga is tracking well so they had to pull him out last week as a precautionary measures.
He says that they expect him to be fully fit and available for their first game.
The All Blacks will face South Africa at 9.45pm next Saturday.
