Real Madrid knocked out of Spanish Copa del Rey

Real Madrid's poor domestic season hit a new low as they were knocked out of the Spanish Copa del Rey after losing to Leganes 2-1 in the second leg of the quarterfinal.

Real Madrid had won the first leg 1-0 while Leganes won 2-1, the aggregate score was 2-2.

Leganes advanced to the semifinals on the away goals rule as they scored two at Real Madrid’s home ground.

Meanwhile, Arsenal qualified for the final of the Carabao Cup after they defeated Chelsea 2-1.

They will now face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final next month.
