Ratu Kadavulevu School has protested the result of the 1500m Junior Boys results after a close tussle between Ratu Kadavulevu School’s Setareki Tukania and Naitasiri Secondary School’s Suluvulaono Maafu.
RKS Vice Principal and Athletics Coordinator, Walesi Soqoiwasa has confirmed that RKS will formally write a letter and lodge a protest tonight with the Fiji Secondary School Athletics Association.
Naitasiri Secondary School’s Suluvulaono Ma’afu won gold in the Junior Boys 1,500 metres, Setareki Tukania of RKS settled for silver while Sefanaia Ducivaki of Natabua High School got bronze.
Coca‑Cola Games Head Organiser, Vuli Waqa has confirmed that he is not aware of any protest adding that if there was to be a protest this would be directed to an independent Jury to address.
