Vodafone Fiji Under-19 soccer team player Ratu Dau scored a brilliant goal yesterday as Fiji beat Vanuatu 3-1 in their first group match at the OFC Under-19 Championship in Tahiti.

Dau controlled the ball in his own half before racing past Vanuatu defenders and then chipping the ball over the Vanuatu goalkeeper.

Fiji’s other goals were scored by Tito Vodowaqa and Kishan Sami.

Fiji will now play Solomon Islands at 1pm Friday in their second match.

The two teams that play the final in this competition will qualify for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup next year.
