Major maintenance work will soon be carried out at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
Nausori Town Council’s CEO Akhtar Ali says the ground has been hosting major soccer and rugby tournaments and they want to uplift the image of the venue.
The seating facilities, floodlights and roofs of both the pavilions will undergo repairs.
Ali says they will be injecting close to $350,000 in repair works.
There have been times when lights have gone out during soccer matches at Ratu Cakobau Park and Ali has assured that they will ensure necessary work is carried out to see that it does not happen in the future.
