Alipate Ratini is confident he will be back at his usual best in next weekend's Rugby World Cup 7s in Russia.
After making an impressive debut in the Gold Coast 7s last year, Ratini was dubbed as Fiji's next speed merchant after scoring three tries in the final against New Zealand.
The 22 year old from Wainimakutu in Namosi was later ruled out of the next leg of the World 7s Series due to injury and he later had a short stint with the Cronulla Sharks rugby league side.
Many fans thought that Ratini has lost his magical finishes during the Marist 7s as he had put on weight but the Namosi flyer said he has been training hard to ensure that he has speed to burn out wide next week.
Ratini and Samisoni Viriviri will provide the speed for the national side as we aim for our third Melrose Cup win.
The 7's Rugby World Cup will be held in Moscow from next Friday.
Fiji is pooled with defending champions Wales, Tonga and Uruguay.
Fiji will play Tonga at 12.28am next Saturday in their first pool match.
We then take on Uruguay at 6.28pm next Sunday and Fiji's last pool match is against Wales at 12.42am Sunday.
The Cup quarterfinals start at 9pm Sunday, Cup semis kick off at 12.40am Monday while the World Cup 7s final will start at 4.55am Monday.
