The Canberra Raiders have copped a major injury blow from an international rugby league match for a second straight year with star Jordan Rapana to undergo a shoulder reconstruction.
The explosive winger will miss about half of next NRL season after dislocating his shoulder while playing for New Zealand against England last week.
The Raiders say he will be out of action for at least six months and have pencilled in a return between rounds 11 and 14.
Meanwhile the 2019 NRL season will kick off at Melbourne's AAMI Park on Thursday, March 14.
