The Rugby World Cup 7s this weekend will bring together two villages in Nadi looking to support their very own Vatemo Ravouvou.
Ravouvou hails from the village of Saunaka in Nadi and has maternal links to Narewa.
Ravouvou’s uncle who played an important role in his upbringing, Bale Mavoka says that they have planned for a big get together in Narewa village and have ordered t-shirts with pictures of Ravouvou on it.
Mavoka says that Ravouvou has loved rugby since he was a child and hopes that his passion will help him in this week’s games.
Ravouvou attended Namaka Public School and later went on to Ratu Navula College.
Mavoka says that they will forever be grateful for Ravouvou’s achievements.
Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach, Gareth Baber had earlier highlighted that he is working with Vatemo Ravouvou, when it comes to conversions, as Fiji is sitting at the top with 173 successful conversions.
