The Ratu Kadavulevu School Under 18 team has made it through to the final of the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Super Deans Rugby competition for the third consecutive year after beating Cuvu College 28‑24.
They will take on Queen Victoria School who defeated Marist Brothers High School 22‑14 in the first semifinal.
RKS tries came from Ratu Samuela Draunidalo, Jeremaia Driu, Ratu Sailosi Nawerecago and Evoroni Koroibiau.
RKS was trailing 24‑23 but relentless forward play allowed them to score the winner.
Cuvu’s tries was scored by Sevuloni Lutu, Kelepi Mataitoga and Jack Volavola.
Suva Grammar caused a major upset in the Under 17 grade when they defeated RKS 17‑10.
Suva Grammar Under 17 team will now face QVS in the final.
QVS beat Nasinu Secondary School 18 14 in their semi final match.
In the Under 16 grade, RKS beat Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute 10‑7 while QVS defeated Lelean 24‑8.
RKS Under 16 team will take on QVS in the final.
In the Under 15 grade,RKS defeated Natabua High School 20‑7 while Marist Brothers High School and Queen Victoria School drew 10‑10.
QVS was declared the winner because they had scored more tries in the game.
RKS Under 15 team will now take QVS in the final.
In the Under 14 grade Grammar thrashed Lelean Memorial School 45‑8 while RKS beat Marist Brothers High School 23‑10.
Grammar Under 14 team will be taking on Ratu Kadavulevu School in the final of the Under 14 grade.
In the Under 19 grade, Saint John’s College defeated Lelean 25‑10 while Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute beat RKS 28‑25.
Saint John’s College Under 19 team will take on Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute in the final.
