QVS comes from behind to win Deans final

The Queen Victoria School stunned Marist Brothers High School when they came from 8-15 down to win 21-18 in the Coke Zero Deans final at the ANZ Stadium.

Peniasi Ratu, the nippy half back kicked the winning penalty for QVS in extra-time to make it 21-18.

The game was forced to extra-time when both teams were locked at 18-all till the final whistle.

In other matches, Lelean Memorial School walked off as the Under 19 Deans champions after defeating RKS 12-8.

Queen Victoria School retained their titles in the Under 14, U15 and U17 grades.

The QVS under 14 defeated RSMS 15‑5, beat RKS 17-13 in the Under 15 grade and defeated St John Cawaci 12-6 in the U17 final.

RKS edged QVS in the under 16 final 12-10.
