Queen Victoria School won the Tailevu athletics Zone meet in style after claiming 32 gold, 23 silver and 11 bronze while Ratu Kadavulevu School finished second with 13 gold, 15 silver and 13 bronze and Saint Vincent College won 2 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze to finish in third place.
QVS won all the boys 100, 4x100 and 4x400 metres finals.
In the girls division Dawasamu Secondary School bagged 19 gold, 18 silver and 9 bronze, Tailevu North College came in second with 17 gold, 11 silver and 8 bronze while Saint Vincent College finished third with 7 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze.
Queen Victoria School sprinter Leone Natusa claimed the gold medal in the blue ribbon event of the Tailevu Zone today.
Natusa also injured himself after winning the gold and will need to recover quickly before the Coca Cola Games kicks off.
The senior boy’s shot put event in this year's Coca-Cola Games will be an interesting one to watch after current record holder Mustafa Fall of Ratu Kadavulevu School lost to Cory Grenier of Queen Victoria School with a throw of 15.31 metres.
Fall finished at second with a throw of 15.15 metres.
Fall's shot put Coca-Cola Games record is 15.80 metres which was set last year when he was in Marist Brothers High School.
