Team Fiji men’s soccer defender, Alvin Singh says it is a proud moment for him and his family as he will be representing Fiji in the Olympics adding that he is looking forward to the games.
Singh recalls how he started playing soccer from a very young age.
Singh says his career highlights will include representing Fiji at the Olympics and playing in the World Club Championship in Abu Dhabi while playing for PNG’s Hekari United.
Speaking about their first game against Korea Republic on Friday, Singh says they are expecting a tough game, as they have seen their senior team play and they have professional players.
Fiji will play its first ever soccer match at the Olympics against Korea Republic at 11am this Friday.
Meanwhile, the opening ceremony will be held at 11am Saturday.
