Police successfully defend their McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s title

Police have successfully defended their McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s title after beating Mango Bay Ratu Filise 17-14 in a thrilling final at Lawaqa Park.

Police started the final on a high as they raced to a 12-0 lead.

Ratu Filise scored two quick tries as two Police players were shown yellow cards for high tackle.

Ratu Filise lead 14-12.

Police got the winning try with the last play of the match to defend their title.

Players like Kitione Taliga, Samisoni Viriviri and Keponi Paul were part of the Police team.

Paul says the team got together 6 days ago to prepare for the tournament.

They have dedicated the win to all the Police officers in the country.

Police  had beaten Tabadamu in the semi-final while Ratu Filise had beaten Stallions.
