Police, Military gear up for Sukuna Bowl showdown

The launching of the annual Sukuna Bowl showdown

The challenge has been laid by the Fiji Police Force and the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces as they gear up for the annual Sukuna Bowl showdown at the end of this month.

Speaking at the launch earlier today Land Force Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Jone Kalouniwai said they will give the Police rugby side the game that they will never forget.

Kalouniwai added that the Army rugby side has been in camp in Sigatoka and they are expected to be boosted with the services of Vesi Rarawa, Jolame Bera, Emosi Mulevoro, Aisake Katonibau, Sunia Bainivalu and Manueli Gade.

Meanwhile, defending champion Police has accepted the challenge and Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald said they will do whatever it takes for the Sukuna Bowl to remain in Nasova.

Police is expected to be boosted with the services of the current Nadroga reps which include Setefano Somoca, Etonia Naba, Ulaiyasi Lawavou, Ratunaisa Narukutabua and Isoa Donaldson.

Army will take on Police at 3pm on the 31st of this month at the ANZ Stadium.
